The Scarlet & Violet series brings the Pokémon TCG to the Paldea region, a world steeped in the mysterious Terastallization phenomenon, where Pokémon take on a crystalline shimmer. As a defining mechanic, the series replaces V and VMAX cards with the reintroduction of Pokémon ex — powerful cards that can appear at any evolution level, bringing greater depth to both gameplay and collecting. The legendary duo Koraidon and Miraidon serve as the faces of the series and each appear as Pokémon ex, while a refreshed card design featuring a silver border and impressive Illustration Rares make this era both visually distinctive and a lasting chapter in TCG history.
