Obsidian Flames is the third expansion within the Scarlet & Violet series and centers on the Terastallization phenomenon, where Pokémon take on a crystalline appearance and an alternate type — most notably in the dark Tera Charizard ex, which appears in multiple versions and is the undisputed centerpiece of the set. Beyond that, the set brings powerful new Pokémon ex such as Tyranitar, Dragonite, and Pidgeot ex, each with its own character that offers something for both players and collectors alike.
