Shining Fates (released on February 19, 2021) is a special expansion set within the Sword & Shield series, entirely dedicated to shiny Pokémon — rare color variants that seldom appear in the main games. The set comprises more than one hundred gleaming etched shiny cards, supplemented by over thirty Pokémon V and VMAX, including names like Shiny Ditto VMAX and Shiny Dragapult VMAX from the extensive Shiny Vault subset. The absolute showstopper is the Shiny Charizard VMAX, which depicts Charizard in its black Gigantamax form and has established itself as one of the most iconic modern cards of the Sword & Shield era.
